Enough of playing at the hand of war-mongering fanatics, the political jingoism that we are fed in regular doses. We know, some will be there to ridicule us. But, this people-to-people peace initiative aims at defying the forces of evil. We’ll persist on the power of our belief, the belief that the sum of all good must triumph over the sum of all evil.
Come, let us celebrate what we share in common – the social, cultural, familial and above all, emotional ties that bind us together – rather than the differences that keep us apart. As South Asians living in Canada the most important thing we have learned is equality and freedom. Freedom gives us a chance to know and understand each other better. Our next generations will not be alienated from one another as we have been for well over half a century. So come let us join the 'Dosti' bandwagon with a clean heart and a clear mind.
